About Keith Bond, Director of Public Works

Keith began working in public works in June of 1980 at the City of Bellmead. He continued working in public works while attending the police academy and received his police license in 1984. In December 1990, Keith went into law enforcement full time at the former City of Northcrest. In May of 1998, the City of Northcrest merged with the City of Lacy Lakeview and he was hired as a Sergeant and later promoted to Lieutenant. In September of 2005, he moved to Public Works as the Director. Keith has been in city government for 30 years. His job duties include all outside activities such as street repair, water and sewer, and parks and recreation.

Keith went to school at La Vega and finished his education at TSTC. He furthered his education at MCC and several trade schools. He currently holds a Master Peace Officer License and Water Distribution LIcense. Keith is married to Kim and has been for 19 years. He has 4 children and 3 grandchildren. Keith currently sits on the Regional Sewer System board and the Metropolitan Transportation Board. He is heavily involved in economic development in the City.

Projects

The City of Lacy Lakeview is willing and ready to meet the challenges of tomorrow. At the present time the City is working on a number of projects, to include expanding the water system with a second tie-in with our water source at Gholson Road. Additionally, we are in the planning stages of a sewer system upgrade on Old Central which serves the Spring Lake area.

Water and Sewer Rates 2010-2011:

Residential Sewer
First 2,000 gallons: $30.95 First 2,000 gallons: $20.78
Next 8,000 gallons: $4.50 Over 2,000 gallons: $2.64
Next 5,000 gallons: $4.65 Not to exceed: $41.62
Next 5,000 gallons: $4.81 

The minimum water bill will be increased each month
by .20 due to rise in price of trash pickup.
